Social worker jobs are many and need people who have a passion for social service. Remunerations are not as handsome as in many other professions; but you get the satisfaction of working for some noble cause.
Social workers guide and provide counseling to people and help them overcome crisis. The clients of social workers range from children who require foster homes to elderly people who need an old age home to lead a safe and quiet life. Social workers help clients get government funds, education and medical treatment. They play a vital role in giving justice to the victims of child abuse or domestic violence.
Social workers are required in a number of NGOs, public welfare organizations, hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers and social service organizations. Sometimes you find social workers working on some posts of teachers and researchers as well. All in all, there is ample scope for you to build your career as a social worker. You find many noble social worker jobs these days that give you a call.
We owe a lot to society and working as a social worker is a nice way to repay that debt partially if not fully. As a social worker, one has to possess sound communication and interpersonal skills, mobility and perseverance. Casework involves conferences with individuals as well as families. Social workers must have a passion for social service. This is indeed a noble profession. However, don't expect much remuneration in social worker jobs.
